I’ll be at the Lincoln Theatre on Thursday, August 13th — pancakes and all.

Raleigh’s Pancakes & Booze Art Show is one of those nights the local art scene looks forward to all year — over 75 artists, 500+ pieces of work, and a stack of free pancakes somewhere in the middle of it. Doors open at 7 PM. It tends to be a full room, and it’s exactly the kind of space where quiet work gets to stand out simply by being still.

I’ve got a stretch of wall to fill, and I’m still deciding exactly what makes the cut. This will be my second time showing at this event, and that little bit of familiarity hasn’t dulled the excitement one bit — if anything, I’m looking forward to it even more.

What I’ll have with me:

A handful of new pieces I haven’t shared anywhere yet, plus a few originals that don’t usually leave the studio, all hung together on my wall for the night. If something catches your eye, I’d love to tell you the story behind it — most of them have one.
